Common Questions

How long does drying take?

For air-dried stock (already down to 15-20% MC), typically 7-14 days depending on species and thickness. Green lumber takes longer — usually 14-21 days.

What moisture content do you target?

Standard is 6-8% MC, which is ideal for interior furniture and millwork. We can adjust the target based on your end use.

How do I know when it's ready?

We'll call you when drying is complete. We provide before/after moisture readings documented for your records.

What if I need lumber dried faster?

Our Nyle Pro kilns have a Hybrid mode for faster commercial turnaround. Ask us about expedited scheduling.

Can you handle live edge slabs?

Yes. We dry slabs up to 4" thick regularly. Thicker material requires longer cycles — we'll quote accordingly.
